We offer a comprehensive commercial and domestic reupholstery service for both antique and modern furniture.
Our History
In 1995, Michael Joyce Upholstery set up shop to sell reupholstered antique furniture in Sheffield.
Nearly 30 years later, we operate a diverse reupholstery and restoration company. We refurbish bars, restaurants, and hotels. However, we will give an individual heirloom antique exactly the same care and attention.
We have a small, dedicated and experienced team, headed by Michael Joyce. The first person you will deal with at the enquiry stage is Michael. Throughout the entire process, to the delivery of the finished article and beyond, you will receive his full attention.
Larger companies find it hard to offer this level of service. Nonetheless, our prices are very competitive.
We have a large selection of fabrics available to view, from both stock and books. Home visits, with a free consultation, are available, as we recognise that mistakes can be costly.
Our Services
Antique Furniture Restoration
Joinery work or french polishing may be required. If so, this can be attended to before we carefully reupholster your item.
Furniture Repairs
Sometimes, with a little ingenuity and experience, a small repair may be all it takes to add a few more years service, to a chair or sofa, that seemed destined for the tip.
Repairing broken springs and fitting new foam cushions are just a couple of ways to achieve this. We provide both of these services.
Ercol Furniture Refurbishment
With the relaunch of the Ercol brand by John Lewis, Ercol has now become highly sought-after and expensive.
We devote some of our time to sourcing older pieces of Ercol to sand, polish and restore to former glory, at a fraction of the cost of brand new items.
